Find a Downloaded COME APK on Your Android Phone
Start in the browser that handled the download. Its download list connects a file with the time you requested it, which is more useful than guessing from a name in storage.
Check the original browser
Open its menu and look for Downloads or the equivalent download history. Labels differ by browser. Identify the item requested during your current attempt and check whether it is complete, paused or failed.
Use the phone file manager second
If necessary, open your device’s file manager and inspect its Downloads area. Match the name and time against the browser record. A filename ending with an extra number can be a duplicate of an earlier download, so do not simply select the largest number.
Avoid mixing several attempts
- Write down the filename of the completed transfer.
- Keep that browser record open while inspecting the file.
- Leave incomplete or unfamiliar items unopened.
- Resolve unexpected names or types on the source page before installation.
If the browser saved nothing
Return to the external page and see whether it actually offered a file transfer. It may have opened a website or another page instead. Check the connection and any visible error; do not rename a saved webpage to .apk.
Keep device protection active
After finding the file, check whether it is appropriate to install. Read Android’s messages and the source information before opening it. If a managed device blocks the action, follow the device administrator’s rules.
